Refund Policy
Last updated: 3 May 2026
What you're paying for
Beat It is an AI-assisted appeal-writing service. When you submit an appeal, we use an AI model to generate a personalised letter and we forward it to the relevant council or operator on your behalf. We do not guarantee the outcome of any appeal. Councils, parking operators and adjudicators decide whether to uphold or reject an appeal on their own terms.
Eligibility — when refunds are available
- Before the letter is generated. If you have paid for an appeal or a subscription but have not yet generated an appeal letter, you are entitled to a full refund.
- Technical failures. If a charge was made due to a technical error on our side — a duplicate charge, a system fault, or an outage that stopped you using Beat It — you are entitled to a full refund. Contact us and we will investigate promptly.
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not cut off access immediately on cancellation.
When refunds are not available
- Once the appeal letter has been generated. At the moment you ask us to generate the letter, our AI cost is incurred and the core part of the service has been delivered. The appeal fee is non-refundable from that point onward, even if you decide not to send the letter.
- If the council rejects the appeal. Beat It is an AI-assisted tool, not a guarantee of success. We do not refund the subscription or appeal fee if the council, operator or adjudicator rejects an appeal we generated and submitted on your behalf.
- No partial-month refunds. Outside the cooling-off circumstances described below, we do not refund unused portions of a billing period.
14-day cooling-off period (UK Consumer Rights)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK consumers normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital services and receive a refund.
Important exception for digital services. When you ask us to generate your appeal letter inside the 14-day window, you are expressly asking us to begin supplying the digital service immediately and acknowledging that you will lose your right of cancellation once the service has been performed. From the point the letter is generated, the digital-services exemption applies and the fee for that appeal becomes non-refundable.
If you subscribed within the last 14 days and have not yet asked us to generate any appeal letter, your full statutory right of cancellation still applies and we will refund your subscription in full on request.
Success fees
- Non-refundable once charged. A success fee is only charged after your appeal has been upheld and the fine cancelled. At that point, the service has been fully delivered and the fee is non-refundable.
- If you believe a success fee was charged in error — for example, if your appeal was not actually successful — please contact us immediately at support@usebeatit.com and we will review it.
How to request a refund
- Email support@usebeatit.com with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Include the email address on your account, the date of the charge, and a brief description of why you are requesting a refund.
- Submit your request within 14 days of the charge for cooling-off subscription refunds, or as soon as possible for technical-failure refunds.

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. The refund will appear on your original payment method. Stripe's processing times may vary.
