Wrong Location Description

If the PCN describes a location where you did not park, or the land description is so vague it could refer to multiple locations, the notice is defective.

Legal basis

POFA 2012 Schedule 4 Paragraph 9(2)(a) - notice must specify 'the relevant land on which it was parked'.

How to identify this in your case

Check the location/address on the PCN against where you actually parked. Look for discrepancies.

Sample appeal wording

The Notice to Keeper identifies the location as [LOCATION ON PCN]. I have never parked at this location. My vehicle was parked at [CORRECT LOCATION] on the date in question. This is either operator error or evidence that the ANPR system has failed. Either way, the PCN is issued in error.

Replace [PARKING DATE], [NtK DATE] etc. with your own dates before sending.
