Wrong Date or Time on Your Ticket
A parking charge notice must show the correct date and time of the alleged breach. If the date or time printed on your ticket is wrong, it raises serious doubts about the evidence — and may even show you were not there at all.
Legal basis
POFA 2012 Schedule 4 Paragraph 9(2)(a) - notice must specify 'the period of parking to which the notice relates'.
How to identify this in your case
Check the date/time on PCN against your records (payment receipts, GPS data, calendar, witnesses).
Sample appeal wording
The alleged contravention date/time of [DATE/TIME] is incorrect. I can demonstrate that [STATE YOUR ALIBI/EVIDENCE]. I attach [EVIDENCE TYPE] confirming my vehicle's location at the material time. The operator's ANPR or attendant evidence is unreliable and this PCN must be cancelled.
Replace [PARKING DATE], [NtK DATE] etc. with your own dates before sending.
