Time Discrepancy — Officer Time vs. Receipt Time
When you have a paid receipt (meter, app, garage validation) and the officer's citation timestamp is in conflict — overlapping the paid period or showing the citation was written before the meter expired — the citation fails on its face. Officers' device clocks can be off; meter receipts are time-stamped to the second. Cross-checking these timestamps frequently shows the citation was issued during a paid period.
