Ticket issued within the 10-minute grace period
When paid-for parking time runs out, or a free time-limited bay's limit is reached, the council must allow you a full 10 minutes before issuing a ticket. This applies to on-street paid parking and free time-limited bays. If the parking warden issued the ticket within that 10-minute window, the ticket was issued too early and is not valid.

How to identify this in your case
Look at the time printed on your ticket, then check your pay-and-display receipt, pay-by-phone confirmation, or the bay's stated time limit. If 10 minutes or less had passed between your time running out and the ticket being issued or the warden starting to observe your vehicle, the grace period was not respected.
