SunPass Account Active But Misread (Plate Toll Charge)

When a SunPass transponder is properly mounted and the account is funded, but the transponder failed to read at the gantry, the system charges Toll-by-Plate plus a $2.50 administrative fee. This is reversible upon proof the transponder and account were active. SunPass policy expressly provides for waiver in these cases.

Legal basis

Florida Administrative Code 14-100; SunPass Customer Agreement §6
