Prohibition on Clamping Certain Vehicles (VCA s.14)

Section 14 VCA 2015 prohibits clamping of: vehicles displaying a valid disabled person's parking permit; ambulances; emergency service vehicles; and other prescribed classes. Clamping of an exempt vehicle is unlawful and the clamp must be removed without charge. Also extends to vehicles where the driver/keeper is in the act of moving the vehicle.

Legal basis

Vehicle Clamping Act 2015 s.14.

How to identify this in your case

Photograph the disabled permit displayed on the dashboard at clamping. Hospital ID for ambulance. ID for emergency services. Or: dashcam showing vehicle in motion when 'clamped'.
