MUTCD Signage Defect — NH Adoption

NH DOT adopts the MUTCD by reference; municipalities must follow MUTCD for regulatory parking signs. Frequent NH defects: snow-buried signs in winter, faded signs in tourist areas (North Conway, Hampton Beach), contradictory time-restriction signs in downtown Concord. Photograph from driver's-eye view; note any sign within 100 feet that contradicts the cited restriction.

Legal basis

RSA 265:9 (Obedience to Any Required Traffic Control Devices); RSA 265:2 (effective use of traffic control devices); MUTCD Part 2B (federal standard adopted by NH DOT); NH due-process.

Sample appeal wording

[Use the Maine signage template (USA-ME-009) substituting RSA 265:6 for 23 M.R.S. §1402.]

Replace [PARKING DATE], [NtK DATE] etc. with your own dates before sending.
