LFUCG LEXPark Hearing Procedure
Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government's parking is operated by LEXPark (a public-private entity) under LFUCG Code of Ordinances Ch. 17. LEXPark issues citations subject to administrative review and a right to a hearing before the Parking Authority's hearing officer. A vehicle owner has 14 days from the citation date to file a written contest. LEXPark routinely waives or reduces first-time citations on a polite, well-organized written contest. The hearing procedure is informal — written submissions usually suffice. Failure to file within 14 days converts the citation to a court matter.
Legal basis
LFUCG Code of Ordinances Ch. 17; LEXPark Operating Agreement; KRS §65.8801 (administrative penalties)
