CRS 13-80-101 / 103.5 — Time-Barred Parking Debts

Colorado's statute of limitations on debts: 3 years (CRS 13-80-101(1)(a)) for most contract / liquidated debts and 6 years (CRS 13-80-103.5) for debts liquidated by judgment. Parking citation debts that have aged past 3 years without judgment are unenforceable in court. Colorado also has CRS 5-16-108 prohibiting collection of debts known to be barred by SOL ('zombie debt' rules).
